Description
These floats are as tough a weapon for fishing with as the AK47 rifle is in a battle hence their name. They were designed in conjunction with Andy Kinder (of Barnsley Blacks fame) who wanted a very strong margin float with a long tip to allow distinction between line bites and real bites at his local Hallcroft fishery.
The AK 47 Evo is built on a strong 1mm diameter flexible glass stem which passes right through the Tech3 foam body and is securely glued into the first 20mm of a 35mm long x 1.7 dia Hi Viz hollow tip which can be fitted with a choice of extra strong side eye, standard spring eye or finesse type stainless steel spring eye. The new 20mm long protrusion on to which the tip is fitted helps prevent tip damage on foul hookers etc and is given a coat of base white paint to aid visibility of the fitted tip.
Although primarily designed for use with big baits for big fish in the margins the AK47 doubles up as an excellent paste float for shallower swims.
I can also supply this model without an eye for those who prefer to use an extra float rubber instead. It is available in 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 gram sizes with red, yellow, green or black tip.
