What we do – Here at HillBilly floats I design and manufacture a comprehensive range of handmade pole floats which are made to catch fish not anglers. All of my products are designed and manufactured entirely by myself using float bodies made on the premises from the finest foam materials available regardless of cost (see material page). I have been a full time pole float maker since early 2008 supplying not only the UK but much of Europe, with my products reaching as far as Australia and the USA. Please do not confuse my floats with the imported mass produced balsa ones being sold under the “designed by me” banner or floats made using ready made mass produced bodies.

HillBilly’s are the REAL thing.

History – During my years of natural venue fishing I made many of my own floats and decided to do the same when I started to fish the carp filled commercial venues. I looked closely at what was available in the shops and decided they were largely not up to the job. I then set about improving my own homemade floats and have spent many hours improving designs and adding strength without losing sensitivity.

This resulted in me deciding to set up HillBilly floats in early 2008 and saw the birth of the HillBilly “pure redneck technology” purpose built range of floats. I fully manufacture a range of models that can be used for anything from bloodworm fishing on a canal to catching the largest of carp in the commercials.

Remember if your float does not carry the joined HB HillBilly logo it does not have Pure Redneck Technology. Standard floats in the HillBilly range can often be customised to customer requirements by using different types of eyes or tips.
